This was posted site-wide over on Dokuga and I just thought I would share it with all of you.
Dear Friends:
As most of you are, no doubt, aware, the site was down for much of yesterday and last night (speaking of EST here in the U.S.). This was due to non-payment of the hosting fees. Some of you are aware that our site owner, Miss Kagura, has been absent for some time. We have no idea what issues are taking place in her life and, despite repeated attempts to reach her, we have been unable to do so.
In view of this, we (the Site Administrators) have decided that it is time for Dokuga to stand on its own for once. With Miss K at the helm, we've always had the luxury of having our hosting plan covered out of her own pocket. This is not the case now, however, so we must engage in some fundraising to keep the site afloat. By putting out the word on various Yahoo!Groups, and by word of mouth, we managed to raise an incredible amount overnight to get the site back up and running. We will now continue our fundraising efforts in order to cover the monthly fees so that we may ensure the site's continuity.
Many different ideas are being scrutinized in order to make this a reality. In the coming days and weeks, we will be sharing more about those ideas with all of you. For now, we are also examining our hosting options in hopes of finding a lower cost solution, however, given the size of the site, that may not be possible. Please keep an eye on the Supporters page to see ways that you can assist us in remaining here as the community that we all know and love. If you have questions, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact one of the Site Administrators!
Tonight, I want to share the unbelievable outpouring of support and caring that enabled us to get the site back online:
We received $1252.12 in gross donations
We paid $6.85 in Paypal fees (we will cover that in a later message)
We netted a total of $1245.27 in donations - in just 24 HOURS!
We paid our hosting company $936.00 to cover the past due fees
That leaves us with a total, as of 10:00pm EST, of $309.27
I will be updating these statistics on a regular basis, to ensure that everyone who donated knows how their generosity has been applied to the site, and ONLY to the site. We are not out of the woods yet, but we can certainly breathe a little easier knowing that Dokuga will be here for at least another couple of months.
If you wish to make a monetary donation to the site, I will be posting the method whereby you may do so on the Supporters page tomorrow. Yesterday, last night, and today have all been grueling for the Admins, so I ask that you be as understanding and patient as you can while we work to investigate our options and answer your questions.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, again, to all those who gave so generously, from their hearts, to get the site back up and running. Words cannot fully express how awed and inspired I have been by your faith, determination and sense of community!! DOKUGIANS ROCK!

Hello, my fellow Dokugians!
I had hoped to avoid a system-wide message related to fundraising, but we are in somewhat dire straits. I announced our need for fundraising in August via a forum post and, to date, I've had three donations from some of our most loyal, supportive members. But, that's it.
We have enough in the account now to pay for this month and another three months after that. Right now, our total stands at:
$703.00
As I mentioned in my forum post, we will have to forgo the usual posting and banner placement this year (since it didn't work out too well last year). I am working 6 to 7 days/week now, r0o and DQ are equal
Dokuga is currently Down, a Message from Wiccan
We're sorry, but Dokuga is down right now due to a problem with one of the database programs. Liquidweb is on the problem and will let me know just as soon as they have more information. This may take a little while to fix... thank you for your patience and we'll have it back up and running ASAP!
Hang tight folks, and I'll let you know when we know what the problem is and how long it might take to fix.
:(

Submit to 'Feature'
Hey guys, I just went thought and cleaned out the galleries, putting things where i think they should go, and would really LOVE it if you all would actually submit work to where it should go rather then just automatically submitting to "featured."
We have other galleries. Please use them accordingly.

Just out of curiosity, how long has Miss Kagura been absent o.0? I know how expensive hosting plans can be, and just by looking at Dokuga I can tell it requires more then just your basic hosting plan. Thankfully there are allot of options when it comes to hosting plans. That being said its wonderful to see all the Adims working together along with the Sess/Kagome community to keep Dokuga running!
